Shaping a Brighter Future for Our Community and Beyond

Club level Student Speaker Contest

🦁 Our NorCal Helping Hands Lions recently hosted the Club level Student Speaker Contest on February 23rd at Ygnacio Valley High School in Concord. A huge round of applause to Lion Melinda, our Club Student Speaker Chair, for flawlessly organizing this event!

🎉 We're thrilled to announce our winner, Shawn Villavicencio! 🎉 Shawn will be representing us as he moves on to the next challenge at the Zone level on March 15th. Let's rally behind him and show our unwavering support! But the real magic of the evening was the diversity of voices and ideas we witnessed. With four exceptional contestants, each presenting the topic brilliantly, their varied approaches truly showcased the richness of our community's perspectives.

🌍 This inspiring event is part of the Student Speaker Contest hosted by Multiple District 4 Lions of California. Every year, we select a thought-provoking theme, and this year's is particularly poignant: "For a better world - what would you change?" It's incredible to witness these young minds addressing such vital issues. Let's continue to champion and uplift these bright minds as they share their visions for a brighter tomorrow! Together, we're making a difference.
